Leaflet outer pages105 viewsNote that this says the serial number is LP 793 599 and not LA 7-93 599. This is not only a departure from the standard format at the time, but I assume the LP refers to the Pro whereas LA for Los Angeles would seem to have been the standard. Furthermore, the date of manufacture is given as 19th August, whereas received wisdom is that "7-93" would indicate July. Not in any way important, but interesting in that it suggests a factory time lag.tone256Oct 10, 2007

Damage to the bottom front of the body109 viewsShows the switch the previous owner installed. This turns all the pickups off and will be replaced with a conventional tone control. The cap to the selector switch is also missing.tone256Oct 10, 2007

Whole front pre restoration89 viewsJust as it came with the "cut switch" in place of the tone control. This simply cuts out all the pickups, a rather limited effect and of no interest to me and so I changed it immediately for a conventional tone control so that I could "test drive" it properly before undertaking the restoration. This has become my guitar of choice for all instrumentals and will be miissed when it is out of action for its makeover.tone256Oct 10, 2007
