Berlin Pro '93 - SOLD

1993 Berlin Pro bought June 2003 from eBay private seller. Black plastic hardware replaced by me with chrome surrounds / volume knobs and amber switch knob. Kent Armstrong Sky pickups replaced with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates at the neck, and a Custom Custom/'59 hybrid trembucker in the bridge. Currently sporting a Gotoh Wilkinson VS100 bridge with Graphtech saddles which stays perfectly in tune.

UPDATE 04/11/2012 - This guitar has now been fitted with Seymour Duncan P-Rails, along with push-pull pots on both volume & tone controls. This gives series and parallel humbucking modes, genuine P-90 and single coil tones for great versatility. I have also refitted the original Wilkinson V-100-C "convertable" bridge to it, as it makes drop-D and other altered tunings nice and simple as the bridge is locked when the arm is not in use. See recent photo for these changes.

Berlin Stage T '94

1994 Berlin Stage T bought in 1995 new from Dawsons Music in Chester. Black plastic hardware replaced by me with black metal surrounds & volume knobs. Kent Armstrong Sky pickups replaced with Seymour Duncan Jazz at the neck, and a '59/Custom hybrid trembucker in the bridge. The guitar also has a recessed Schaller Floyd Rose trem system which was expertly installed by KGB Music's guitar workshop in Birkenhead.

Berlin Pro '96 (Goldtop) - SOLD

1996 Berlin Pro Goldtop bought Jan 2008 from TMC (Coventry) eBay shop. Black plastic hardware replaced by me with cream surrounds / switch knob and gold top hat volume knobs. Pickups are the standard Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge and Alnico Pro II in the neck.

Pedalboard

My current board(s) as at Jan 2008. Two Gator Pedal Tote boards (these come with 1000ma Gator supplies bolted underneath and a padded bag to carry them around with including a pocket for the spare DC cables and velcro strip). I use George L's cable and the boards are arranged so that thay can be placed before the amp connected together (as in the pics) or they can be split so that all the post distortion stuff (on the second board) can go in the FX loop of my Lone Star Classic (if I want to use the distortion channel on it).

Board 2 (post distortion FX)24 viewsThis board either goes after board 1 or in the FX loop of my amp. The chain is PS-5 -> CH-1 -> BF-2 -> George Dennis Wah/Vol Switch -> Keeley modded TR-2 -> DD-3 -> Micro Amp. I use the George Dennis primarily as a volume but it's fun to use the wah after all the distortion stages (it has a hi-low frequency switch) for some mental synth/dance/rave frequency shifts. The MXR Micro Amp puts back the level & top end that the PS-5 and DD-3 inevitably suck out of the signal (even when it's in the FX loop!).ultrazone

Board 1 (pre distortion and distortion FX)30 viewsThis board goes first before anything. The chain is George Dennis Wah -> EVH Phase 90 -> Monte Allum modded Dyna Comp -> Keeley modded DS-1 -> Keeley modded RAT -> Little Big Muff. I use the RAT in "turbo" mode with low distortion as a "blues" overdrive on it's own, or to thicken up the DS-1 for solos. The Muff is just a monster and I only use it for solos too (the RAT in front helps it to "cut through" better though). Sometimes use a Monte Allum modded CS-3 instead of the Dyna Comp.
