Board 1 (pre distortion and distortion FX)30 viewsThis board goes first before anything. The chain is George Dennis Wah -> EVH Phase 90 -> Monte Allum modded Dyna Comp -> Keeley modded DS-1 -> Keeley modded RAT -> Little Big Muff. I use the RAT in "turbo" mode with low distortion as a "blues" overdrive on it's own, or to thicken up the DS-1 for solos. The Muff is just a monster and I only use it for solos too (the RAT in front helps it to "cut through" better though). Sometimes use a Monte Allum modded CS-3 instead of the Dyna Comp. Board 2 (post distortion FX)24 viewsThis board either goes after board 1 or in the FX loop of my amp. The chain is PS-5 -> CH-1 -> BF-2 -> George Dennis Wah/Vol Switch -> Keeley modded TR-2 -> DD-3 -> Micro Amp. I use the George Dennis primarily as a volume but it's fun to use the wah after all the distortion stages (it has a hi-low frequency switch) for some mental synth/dance/rave frequency shifts. The MXR Micro Amp puts back the level & top end that the PS-5 and DD-3 inevitably suck out of the signal (even when it's in the FX loop!).ultrazoneJan 29, 2008
