Matamp_1224___cab.jpg
Amp and half stack206 viewsAmp: Matamp 1224. Special feature is that there is no increase in volume when switching in the overdrive. This mod. was made at my request; I can get additional volume and overdrive with the Mesa Boogie V-Twin. For more information on the amp, go to: http://www.jurassicrock.co.uk/matamp_1224.htm
212 Cabinet: Celestion G12M Greenback and Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary Special Edition wired in series giving about 40 watts at 16ohm. Used little after buying the Blackstar Artisan 15 and so sold.

Blackstar Artisan 1556 viewsAll valve, 1 x 12, 2 channel combo switchable between 5 and 15 watts. Having sold my Matamp 1224, this is now used exclusively for gigs. With the pedal board, it provides all the sounds I need and, with a Hughes & Kettner Red Box permanently fitted, is usually D.I.'d, so is plenty loud enough. Bought the Matamp Jazz & Bass because of its clean sound and headroom and so sold.tone256

Pedal board version 1213 viewsEffects: Boss TU-2 tuner; Morley Bad Horsey Vai 2 Wah*; Mesa Boogie V-Twin overdrive; Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5; Boss DD-20 Giga Delay.
(* Replacement for Snarling Dogs Whino-Wah because it's easier to use.)
Amp controls: Overdrive; Voice (5 degrees of sound from thin to thick); Reverb.

Pedal Board version 2140 viewsCHANGE: Taken out chorus and replaced with Keeley compressor.
REASON: Stopped using chorus after programmed more attractive "chorus like" sound into delay unit. Compressor thickens single coil sounds, which is useful for instrumentals in particular.

CHANGE: Layout from right to left instead of left to right.
REASON: Pedals have "in" on right & "out" on left. New layout makes cabling neater.
